Prejudice

Had language, religion, caste, birth place etc been considered just a fact alone, maybe things would have been better. We consider language, religion, caste, race etc as a defining factor of every human being. It is so sad that these are used as tools to discriminate.

To the global community, India projects herself as a largest democracy, nation with unity in diversity etc. Is India really like that? Maybe officially it would be appear to be that way, but in reality people have so much  prejudice in their  minds.

Saddest thing is that there is no difference between educated and uneducated in this matter. However educated one is he/she believes that
1. Marriage has to be done from the same caste/language itself.
2. Gujarat anti-muslim genocide in 2002 was justifiable
3. Anti-Sikh riots post Indira Gandhi assassination was right
4. Rape is justifiable if a girl wears small clothes or inherits western culture
5. Lower caste people will remain in the lower strata of the society. They should never come up

It is because of this kind of mindset that we have that we were not able to have right politicians. Whichever politician we had, he/she exploited the prejudice we have in our mind.

In the end we blame the politicians for our own minds.
